I am an Associate Lecturer in the Digital Media program at RMIT University Vietnam with a focus on Photography related subjects and industry relationships. I am currently a PhD Candidate with RMIT Melbourne’s School of the Art.

Born in Bonn, Germany, I first came to Southeast Asia more than 20 years ago as a student. I hold a Master’s degree (German Diplom) in Southeast Asian studies from the University of Bonn. 

My work as a documentary photographer has been published among others in The New York Times and The Wallstreet Journal. Moving on from my roots in documentary photography I spent the last 5 years exploring expanded and conceptual photography.
